Bee Abled offers an outlet for all abilities & all ages to continue playing sports both competitively and recreationally through diverse programs. All donations received go towards helping our members participate in sports, workouts, and social activities that help them improve their mental and physical health.
BEE ABLED SATURDAY MORNING WORKOUTS:
During the Spring & Fall, on Saturday mornings we typically meet Memorial Park Picnic Area (weather permitting) from 9AM to 11AM to run/walk/wheel. We pair each athlete with able bodied volunteers (also called a walking, running, or bike guide) for support and motivation. If you have a handcycle you may bring it or request a loaner from us.

BEE ABLED PARTICIPATES IN RACES:
Bee Abled participates in 5K, 10K, half, and full marathon races by walking, running, or wheeling. Our members have participated in races such as: We Are Houston 5K, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, Chevron Houston Marathon, Bayou City Classic, Poppy’s Run/Walk for Life & Celebration of Life 1K/5K, Galveston Marathon, Art Car IPA, Pearland Half Marathon, Ainsley’s Angels Twilight 5K/1K, UT Houston Half Marathon & 10K, and The Great Houston Pie Run.

BEE ABLED OUTINGS/ACTIVITIES:
We also do other FUN activities through out the year! Additionally, during the summer, due to the extreme hot Houston weather we have our Summer Programming. It's filled with different activities that keep our members active and keep social interaction, without jeopardizing their health. Activities such as: bowling, axe throwing, skydiving, origami, adaptive yoga, attending baseball games, museums, golfing, pickleball, boat tour, ice skating, etc.

BEE ABLED ADAPTIVE SPORTS PROGRAM:
Bee Abled’s adapted sports program brings athletes of all ages and abilities together—offering wheelchair softball for kids (“Alpha Kidz”) and adults (“Colt .45s”), plus two Bayou City wheelchair basketball teams (D1 and Beginners), proving that every athlete deserves a place to play, grow, and win.
In 2025, the Colt .45s won the World Series National Division 3 Championship!
